Copper telluride has the chemical formula CuTe. Copper telluride comes in a powdery black color that is fairly stable at room temperature. How are Telluride Copper cuTe Powder manufactured?
The steps of a method to prepare a copper-tellurium alloy are:
1. After mixing high pure copper and high purity tellurium according the required ratios, or by alternating layers, they are then placed in a crucible made of graphite, which is then sealed with protective gas after the air has been replaced in the crucible.
2. The graphite crucible is placed in a synthetic crucible, and after the crucible is closed the air inside the furnace chamber is blown into the protective gases.
3. Fill the furnace up to a pressure of 1.04.5MPa with the protective gas. The furnace temperature rises to 12001450 degrees Fahrenheit within 6090 minutes, then drops after 24 hours.
4. The pressure inside the synthesis reactor is brought back to normal after draining the protective gas.
