Zinc Telluride Zinc Telluride Poudre ?
Zinc Telluride, also known as ZnTe, is a Group II to VI compound. In a hydrogen-filled atmosphere, zinc and tellurium are heated and sublimated together to form a reddish-brown metal telluride. Zinc telluride is commonly used for semiconductor materials due to its wide bandgap. Zinc Telluride has a direct bandgap value of 2.26eV. This is a semiconductor that is typically p-type.
Zinc telluride is typically cubic in structure (galena) or hexagonal (wurtzite). When irradiated with a powerful beam under aerobic conditions, the material will ignite. ZnTe, after being refined by sublimation is either a brownish-red powder of ruby red crystals. ZnTe is a lattice with a constant of 0.6101nm. It can be grown either on or in combination with other materials such as gallium anodine, aluminum antimonide and lead-selenide. ZnTe is also able to be grown, on certain substrates like GaAs. It can even be grown as a thin-film polycrystalline or nanocrystalline on glass substrates. Thin-film cells. In the hexagonal crystal structure of wurtzite, its lattice parameter a = 0.427 nm and c = 6.99 nm.
Zinc telluride properties
Hydrogen telluride (H2Te), a highly toxic gas, is released when zinc telluride reacts with diluted acid.
ZnTe+2H+=H2Te|+Zn2+
Physical properties of Zinc Telluride
Zinc Telluride, a p type wide bandgap semiconductor with a bandgap as low as 2.26eV and a high bandgap at 77K is called Zinc Telluride. Please send us an inquiry to receive the most recent price on Zinc Telluride ZnTe Powder.

Performance and performance of Zinc telluride ZnTe:
Zinc Telluride powder is gray or brownish-red. It is a compound of tellurium and zinc. The chemical formula for this powder is ZnTe. By sublimation, ruby-red cubic crystals are obtained. It is stable under dry air but breaks down in water, producing a toxic gas called hydrogen telluride. Zinc Telluride is used primarily in semiconductors and other infrared materials. It can also be used to make fluorescent materials or phosphorescent ones. The material can be used in the production of light-emitting devices, for infrared detection or radiation detection.

What is the production process of Zinc Telluride ZnTe Powder ?
Method 1 Seal the polycrystalline Zinc Telluride in an ampoule of quartz with a tapered edge. Bridgman can be employed to grow a single crystalline zinc telluride out of the melt. Quartz ampoules should be sandblasted and coated in advance with a very fine carbon film created by pyrolysis.
Method 2 – Sodium telluride and zinc acetate react with water to produce a yellowish brown ZnTe precipitate.

Application Of Zinc Telluride Powder :
Zinc Telluride (ZnTe) is a binary chemical compound. It is a powder that appears to be grayish-red or ruby red. Like diamond and sphalerite, its crystal structure is cubic. It can also come as a crystal hexagonal. It is one common semiconductor material.
Zinc selenide and zinc telluride are used in similar ways. It can be used in semiconductors and as an infrared materials. It has properties like light guide, fluorescence and is a semiconductor.
It is a crystal with a high electro-optic performance under the influence of ultrashort near-infrared waves (800nm). The preparation process has also been refined. It is widely used for optical rectification of THz radiation and as a material to detect it. It’s used in green-light emitting devices.
Zinc Telluride has applications in several areas.
LED and laser diode
Solar battery
Terahertz imaging
Electro-optical detector
Holographic interferometer
Laser optical phase conjugation device.
