3D Printing Alloy CoCrW Powder, one of the Stellite Alloys. Stellite alloys are hard alloys that can withstand wear, corrosion, and high-temperature oxide. CoCrW has a smooth, spherical surface.
CoCrW powder for 3D printing: 3D Printing Alloy CoCrW Powder comes from the Stellite Alloys. Stellite Alloys are resistant to wear and corrosion, as well as high temperatures. Also known as cobalt-based metal. Stellite is initially a cobalt chromium binary and then developed into cobalt chromium tungsten trinary alloy. Cobalt is the main component of this alloy, which also contains a significant amount of chromium. They can be made as welding wires, powders used for hard surfacing and thermal spraying.
The basic composition of cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy is: Co:50%~58%,Cr:28%~30%,W:4%~6%,Ni:2%~4% and other alloy composition, melting point is 1470.As can be seen from the composition of the alloy, the cobalt and tungsten content of the alloy are very high, which makes the material has excellent high-temperature performance and has poor thermal conductivity. This is why the cobalt chromium tungsten is a good choice for grinding. Its sparks are very dark, and the amount of them is small. Also, metal on the surface of workpieces can easily block the grinding wheels, which leads to a rapid deterioration of the grinding condition. What is Alloy CoCrW Powder for 3D Printing produced?
The waste iron is heated to melting point and the eight materials are then added. First, the temperature of the solution is reduced from 1150-1200degC and is kept there for 40-60min. Next, it is brought down to 880-970degC and is left for aging for 2-3h. Finally, the alloy cobalt-chromium-tungsten is produced by annealing again.

Applications of 3D-Printing Alloy CrW Powder :
CoCrW Powder is a rough, high-temperature alloy capable of resisting wear and corrosion. They can be transformed into thermal spray, spray, welding wires and powders depending on the composition. These alloys can also be used to make castings, forgings or powder metallurgy components.
The powder of COCRW can be used for additive manufacturing using laser/electron rays (SLM/EBM), in powder metallurgy, spraying, welds and other processes. The powder can be used to 3D print biomedical material such as artificial joints, teeth, body supports and other materials.
Cobalt – Cr-W alloys are widely used for locomotive engines, nuclear power plants, marine engines, and aircraft.
Early cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloys were made by non-vacuum melting and casting. The production of later alloys like MAR-M509 which contains active elements zirconium or boron is done by vacuum smelting.
Generally, cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy lacks a uniform strengthening phase. The strength of the alloy is lower at medium temperature, only 50-75% as high as that of nickel based alloys. However, it has good strength, thermal fatigue resistance. It is used for the production guide vanes and nozzle vanes of aviation jet engines, gas turbines in industrial applications, and naval gas turbines.

CoCrW Powder Storage Conditions:
CoCrW should not be exposed air. The powder must be kept in a dry and cool room. CoCrW Powder should not be exposed to stress.

Packing & Shipping of CoCrW:
Our packaging options are dependent on the amount of CoCrW in powder.
CoCrW powder packaging: vacuum packed, 100g/bag, 500g/bag or 1kg/bag. 25kg/barrel or your request.
CoCrW powder can be shipped via air, sea, or express.
