Zirconium is mainly oxided by zirconium dioxide, which has the chemical formula ZrO2. It is typically a white, odorless, and odorless powder. It is difficult to dissolve it in water, hydrochloric, and dilute sulfuric acids. Purity: 99.5%
Particle size range: 20nm – 200nm

Zirconium Oxide Powder
ZrO2 also called zirconia and a white crystalline oxidation of zirconium. The mineral baddeleyite, which has a monoclinic structure, is its most natural form. In various colors, a dopant stabilized zirconia cubic structure is synthesized to be used as both a gemstone simulant and diamond.
Zirconia does not react chemically. It is attacked slowly by hydrofluoric acid concentrated and sulfuric acid. It converts into zirconium carbide when heated in the presence of carbon. When heated in presence of chlorine with carbon, it becomes zirconium carbide.
Zirconium Oxide has been one of the ceramic materials most studied. ZrO2 is monoclinic at room temperature, and transforms into tetragonal crystals at higher temperatures. The transition from tetragonal structure to monoclinic then cubic causes large stresses and cracks when it cools.
Three phases can be identified: monoclinic beneath 1170 degC; tetragonal from 1170 degC to 2370 degC; and cubical over 2370. The tendency is to have higher symmetry as temperatures increase, which is normal. Small percentages of yttrium or calcium oxides are cubic. The cubic phase is found in the very rare mineral (Zr Ti)O2. Monoclinic Zirconia is composed of zirconium centers with seven coordinates, as opposed to TiO2, which has six-coordinated titan in all phases. This is due to the size difference between the zirconium and titanium atoms.
ZrO2 has a band gap that is determined by the phase (cubicity, tetragonality, monoclinicity, or amorphous), and preparation methods. Estimates range between 5-7 eV. A zirconia special case is the tetragonal polycrystal or TZP. This is polycrystalline zirconia made up of only metastable tetragonal phases.

Performance and properties of zirconium oxide powder ZrO2 :
Zirconium dioxide has a chemical property that is inactive. It also has properties like high melting points, high resistivity and high refractive values. This makes it a high temperature resistant ceramic material. raw material. The band gap measures approximately 5-7eV.

What is the production process of zirconium dioxide ZrO2?
Most of the electric mete comes from stably zirconia. Carbon and stabilizable sodium oxide were added into the zirconmeter fuse. The zirconia meter fuse was then used as a solidification solution. Wet is the most common method of preparing stable and partially stabilized zirconia for use in fine ceramics.
The neutralization method is the most mature. The pure chloride zirconium solution is dissolved using pure water. The insoluble material is then filtered out, the zirconium content in the solution adjusted, the ammonia solution added, the precipitation medium, and the cerium chloride (or alkaline chloride or other rare earth metal) solution required. The precipitate was then washed and dried with hot water. By treating the calcined material, ultrafine stabilized zirconia can be obtained.
The purpose of partially stabilised zirconia (partially stabilized zirconia) is to regulate the amount of stabilizer added, as it is not enough for complete stability. Partially stabilized Zirconia offers high strength, thermal shock resistance and is widely used in structural ceramics.

Uses of Zirconium Oxide (ZrO2) powder:
For zirconium, zirconium tubes, and the crucible are used mainly for precious metals melting, piezoelectric ceramics products, and daily ceramics.
Refractory
Zirconia is a polycrystalline refractory fibre material. ZrO2 fibers have higher temperatures of use due to their high melting points, their non-oxidation properties and other high temperature excellent qualities. This is in comparison with other refractory fibres like alumina fibers or aluminum silicate. The zirconia fibre is used for many years in an oxidation atmosphere of super high temperatures above 1500 deg C. It can withstand up to 2200 deg C. Even 2500 deg C maintains the fiber shape. Fiber material.
Gas turbine
Plasma spray zirconium oxide thermal barrier coating has seen great advancements, and has been applied to turbine portions of gas engines within a specified limit. This coating can lower the temperature from 50 to 200 degrees C for the air-cooled high temperature member. It can also improve the temperature in the gas, or reduce the required temperature to maintain the member. This will improve the efficiency of your engine.
Zirconium Oxide ceramic material
The zirconia kilns are used because of its high refractive indices, melting points, and corrosion resistance. Other products made from piezoelectric ceramic include speakers, filters, and ultrasonic detectors. Also, there are zirconium tube for precious metal melting and zirconium tiles. Nano-grade Zirconia may also be used for polishing agents, abrasives, precision ceramics and ceramic glazes.
O ther
Zirconia also can be used for the production of enamel, white glasses, refractory crucibles and white gas masks. X-ray photography. Material for grinding. For the formulation of piezoelectric crystals, thick-film circuit capacitive materials, and light source lamps.

Storage condition of zirconium oxide ZrO2 powder:
Zirconium Oxide ZrO2 should be stored in a dry, cool, and air-tight environment.
