Stearamide also known as stearamide. Its chemical name is C17H35CONH2. The stearic acids amide is not soluble with water and slightly soluble with organic solvents. It can improve dyes’ and pigments’ affinity and dispersion.

What is Stearic Acid Amide?
To achieve the dispersion of the emulsion prepared from water-based Stearic Acid amide, it is necessary for emulsifiers or dispersants to be added. Water-based stearic amide emulsions have a poor dispersion even after adding emulsifiers. They are also easily precipitated and may result in flocculation, stratification and other undesirable effects. It is also difficult to produce and costly using the current method, which requires high-speed grinding and stirring under heated conditions.
The method for preparing water-based Stearic Acid Amido: add stearic acids amide to water, add emulsifiers (A and B) and stir for 60 minutes (2500r/min). Add defoamer to the mixture and stir it for 40 minute (2500r/min). The prepared water-based Stearic Acid amide Emulsion has a Solids Content of 41.7% and Viscosity of 146mPa*S.
