How does Antimony Telluride Sb2Te3 Powder get produced?
Telluride antimony preparation is as follows: using SbCl3 and K2TeO3 as starting materials, according to the stoichiometric ratio of n (SbCl3): n (K2TeO3) = 2:3 said take 0.002 mol SbCl3 and 0.003 mol K2TeO3, 250 ml and join the two round bottom flask, and then add in the 0.5 g polyvinylpyrrolidone, 80 ml 0.5 gNaOH and a reduction of diethylene glycol (take) by the measuring cylinder, put two round bottom flask temperature control heating jacket, set the temperature of 240 deg C, insulation 4 h, adjusting the rotational speed of 500 r/min.After the temperature of the reactants dropped to room temperature, the centrifuge was centrifuged 3 times with isopropyl alcohol and acetone, respectively. The centrifuge speed and time were set at 4000r/min. After centrifugation the liquid in the upper part of the tube became colorless. The temperature of reactant is lowered to 100 ml at room temperatures and centrifugal with isopropanol & acetone. After 6 hours in the oven, a black precipitate is removed. This gives a Sb2Te3 black powder.
