What are Molecular Sieves? 5A

5A molecular sive refers calcium A type silicon-aluminate. 5A molecular sive can adsorb molecule whose critical size is no greater than 5A. The 5A molecular sieve can adsorb any molecules that are able to be adsorbed with 3A, 4A or even 8A. By selective adsorption, it is possible to separate righteous hydrocarbons from branched-chain and cyclic hydrocarbons. Presently, it is being used to separate large-scale normal isomeric isomers of alkane. 5A molecular screen can also be utilized for pressure swing hydrogen production.
