These include the use hydrofluoric for acid purification by active means and the use high-temperature furnaces to purify thermally. Both methods have advantages and drawbacks.
Active acid cleaning is an effective way to purify water. However, the acid used (including hydrofluoric acids) can create toxic and hazardous working environments. Thermopurification is the process of heating water with electricity. The process is expensive compared to acid purification. However, it is safe and doesn’t harm the environment.
